saturday was a really sad day for me...

Posted 3 months ago from what i understand of all of it my cousin came over to my house when just my room mate was there and raped her. i was the one who took her to the hospital and was there with her when we found out she might be pregnant from the attack. also when i met with local pd to take them to the house to collect evidence, he was following me so i didnt turn on my road i just continued straight because the pd is on that road. i met with local and a sherrifs deputy at the city hall and told them he was behind me. we waited a couple of minutes and he came by. i told them it was his car and they pulled out with the lights on. he pulled across an intersection and into a gas station like he was going to pull over but then began to pick up speed. i pulled across and blocked him from the front with my pov and ordered him out of the car but i was getting "a little loud" with him so the uniforms made me go back over to my car and cool off. just couldnt belive someone i literally grew up with would do something like that in my own house. |

| Posted 3 months ago That is indeed a tragic event. My only question would be, how long was the time span from the attack to the gathering of evidence. How could they determine the woman could possibly be pregnant. I guess, I'm showing my ignorance of the the female body here. I hope the young lady is recieving some counseling or therapy after the ordeal. Beyond fatigue lies compensatory hypertrophy |

| Posted 3 months ago My thoughts and prayers go out to your roommate and yourself. What she went through was horrific and she will have years dealing with that. Encourage her to get counseling. She should check with the local Victim Assistance Program to see if she qualiifies for Crime Victim Compensation that would cover her counseling.
I commend you for supporting and believing her. It is hard to believe a family member would do something like that and many people choose their family over the truth. I know you must feel betrayed and to be truthful you were, but you did the right thing. I hope your family supports you and doesn't blame you for your cousin's arrest. The only one responsible for his arrest is him and him only. As I stated, previously, you and your roommate will be in my thoughts and prayers. |

| Posted 3 months ago thanks to all. currently it is tuesday and she has yet to file charges because the investigator told her there wasnt much more than her word against his. of course this is against all my advice. i too, questioned the time frame that they were saying she was pregnant that quickly but she keeps taking the test and they keep coming up positive. |

| Posted 3 months ago Though I am looking in from the outside, I think that she should atleast attempt to press the charges. I don't know if all evidence was lost, but she may later regret not trying. Don't push too hard. The next few months will be difficult on you and your room mate. Just try to take it one day at a time. I wish the best for both of you and hope that it all works out. All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, then it may be a troll doing an impression of a duck. |

| Posted 3 months ago I pray the Lord will give her the peace she needs to do what she needs to do. 2 Cor. 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new." |
