Working in southern nevada, I can only say it is too darn hot in the summer. You know it's bad when you feel the heat rise from under your vest.  Does anyone working in warmer climates know of any undergarments that can help reduce the heat factor, or any toys to help keep you cool?  Thanks for any advice!

Cotton is your enemy.... I get hot very easily so i will usually wear an 'athletic' type under--shirt. But you don't need Under Armor, just get anything, they will help wick away moisture, and thaty will cool you down. :)

Addressing the crowd at the premiere for Attack Of The Clones:
-Triumph: "Okay, it's time for Star Wars trivia. First question. *Reading off a card.* What substance was Han Solo frozen in?"
-Crowd: "Carbonite!"
-Triumph: "No no, I'm sorry, I'm very sorry, the correct answer is 'Who gives a sh*t?"

But I thought that was an enjoyable 'dry heat' out there...ya right.  I am in SW Florida, you know 100 degs + 90% humidity.......great weather for a french fry.  Anyway, I always keep one or two hand towles in the car for the brow mop and a few frozen water bottles slowly melting in the cooler.  Under Armor tees work pretty good under the vest.  Here are a couple of tricks I learned when I wore glasses (before lasik) .... before you get to a call shut down the a/c and crack the window so when you get out the specs donts immediately fog up and your blinded - likewise, I found that you should keep your glasses tipped a bit on a call so you can see just above them, then if you have to draw your weapon (range or real life) as you bring your arms together and the firearm up to target, when the hot air shoots out from under your vest and fogs the glasses, you ca still negotiate your objective and see (depending on vision).  Hope this helps -- STAY SAFE

Been deployed to I can give you a few pointers...the Under Armour ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Under_Armour ) shirts are great for keeping you as cool as you can be with a vest on...

How often do you work traffic accidents in 90+ degree weather wearing 25+ pounds of duty gear and kevlar?

Thet make a ribbed shirt that goes under a vest to let heat leave your body and not be trapped under the vest. Galls.com would be a place to look. I would take the heat before a bullet, so don't give in and take the vest off. But try Galls.

LC, I don't think XBOX has gotten that realistic yet, so I'm sure JUNIOR won't know how to answer.

LOL! You can also check for other companies making similar shirts to Under Armor like at Wal-Mart and save a few bucks for about the same thing.

Darthby.... I seem to recall seeing adverts in a couple of the different cop publications about a gizmo that hooks onto the a/c vent via flexible plastic tubing to hook under your vest for while in the squad.... I'll try & find a link...never seen it in the world...

Yeah, I agree.  90 degrees may be hot but I can tell you lead can be much hotter and more uncomfortable.

I hope his friends never see that picture!!   That's something right out of RENO 911.

This is a little more discreet but I don't know how effective it really is.

Under my BDU's or the new ABU's and body armor when I am wearing it or not I wear the Dri-Duke T-Shirts. They are great, do not shrink or fade and they whisk away moisture so well they are almost dry coming out of the washer.

I have Spiderman imprinted on them also....
