Posted 5 months ago Hello. My name is Carrie and I am the widow of fallen deputy Sheriff William "Joe" Hudnall. He was killed in the line of duty on 11-14-06. I was left behind with 2 young children. Everyday is a new lesson in starting over and learning how to put one foot in front of the other. We have yet to have trial and I am looking forward to life after trial. I think that a lot of stress will be gone once the person driving the car the "allegedly" killed my husband will either be convicted or exhonerated...at least it will be over. I look forward to getting to know you all. Law enforcement is my life...a life that I miss horribly. I miss hearing the sound of Joe's leathers as he walked around the house and the rip of the velcro of his kevlar when he came home. I miss the stories that you only hear in law enforcement . I miss Joe.

| Posted 5 months ago Thank you everyone for such a wonderfully warm and gracious welcome. I already feel so at home here at policelink. Thank you for that. I will definately need support when trial is going on. Our 5th attempt at trial is August 11th. Not holding my breath on it happening then though. After trial i over we are dedicating a portion of the highway my husband was killed on to my husband in his name and in his memory. So that is a small light at the end of a very long tunnel. The senate just approved the renaming of the highway a couple days ago. Thank you all again! I miss you with every breath I take......
