I am getting a HK45 to carry as my duty weapon. Before you respond I hate glocks and I already have a M&P. I just need help deciding between the HK45 and the HK45C. The full size seems a little big. What are your thoughts?

im 5 foot 6 inches... the full size HK45 that came out last year seems to fit me pretty well. I'd want the longer barrel for a duty carry weapon.

What fits your hand best? If the compact fits better get that and carry 4 extra mags on your belt.

One word...

COMPACT

I carried a full size HK USP 45 for 4 years and it just about killed my right hip.  Now mind you, I have hands so big a bear would be scared, and I have to say, the compact felt REALLY good in my hand.  We have a couple of female officers with small hands that carry the compact and shoot it with no problem.

The full size HK45 is our issued duty weapon. Our officers have ranged from a 5'0 120 female to a male officer 6'4 280...none have had any difficulty in handling the full sized weapon.  You should, however, decide which fits your hand the very best! You will not be sorry: this is a fine pistol!
