"Toll Violation" problem
Posted 5 months ago So basically, earlier this month I was driving down to the shore and I took a road with lots of tolls. I am POSITIVE I paid them all. However, I just got an "advisory and payment request" form in the mail. It says that I owe $25 for the administrative fee and $0.70 for the toll itself. I know for a fact that I didn't just drive right through it (I am attempting to become an officer so I'm being on my absolute best behavior in all aspects of life) so I can only assume that a coin(s) missed the bin. Now my questions are: is this something that will show up on my background check/driving abstract? and what are my chances of disputing this? Because I don't really know how I could prove that I threw the money |

| Posted 5 months ago What shore were you coming to......NJ?? Also which toll road. If it was EZ-Pass there is info on the back of the sheet to help dispute the notice. Also, no it will not appear on your driving history/abstract unless you fail to resolve it then it will turn from an EZ-Pass violation notice to a more serious matter. Also EZ-Pass has a website especially for NJ with more info if needed. Let me know if you need anything else. Police work- the greatest show on earth and my team always wins!!!

| Posted 5 months ago Nevermind, just saw you are from NY. Let me guess, G.S.P. to Atlantic City right. Check this link out and see if it helps........ https://www.ezpassnj.com/vector/static/violations/ViolationsFrame.html Good Luck from the Jersey Shore. | Posted 5 months ago actually, you were right with the first guess. I was at my parents house in Northern NJ and went down to Belmar the next morning via the GSP lol I'm glad to hear this won't show up on my background check but since I'm not an EZPass customer it won't let me use the violations section on that site. Using the form tho, is there any chance of getting this reversed? since it's basically "He Said / Machine Said" |

| Posted 5 months ago I'm not sure how they handle that to be honest with you. I would call the phone number on the site or the violation notice and talk to one of the reps and see what they say. I got 4 violation notices once in the mail on the same day but I have Sleazy-Pass and my battery had died without me knowing it so I was able to get them reversed. Without being a customer I'm not sure what they do with it. During a background you could still mention getting the thing just to be safe as you can easily explain it away. Also make sure the picture on the violation notice is definitely your car because they do that all the time too, they get the tag on the car wrong and send the wrong person a violation notice. Good luck and let me know how you make out. Police work- the greatest show on earth and my team always wins!!!
