I was just wondering if any of you are Glock techs, Because i want to take the class and become one.

What are the requirments and age limits? and is there anything i should know before persuing this?

I know how to completely detail a Glock pistol and reassemble it. is that all i need to know?

And who would i contact to take the course?

Thanks guys.                  -Alex

I know a guy that is a glock armor and he told me not to waste the time. He showed us all of what they teach you under 5 min.

What FPD113 said. I'v been a Glock armorer about 9 years now. Every two years we HAVE to be re-certified by Glock. What a wast of time. The same thing over and over, no new changes, up-dates even the jokes are the same.

By all means take the class and get all the knowledge and certificate, add that to your resume. In police work, every cert adds to your pedigree.

BTW, check Glock's website to see if any classes are in your area.

I didn't know you had to be re-certified....and why two years? The internals of the Glock pistols have hardly changed.

But I think i will take the class, because on a resume, it will look good (well in law enforcement).

I'll check the site and see what i can find. Thanks!

This is why I let my Glock Armorer cert lapse.  I can't afford the money and time to cover old ground.  BUT, the course is definitely worth taking at least once.  Go for it!

Glock, Sig, Smith, Colt they are always the same crap over and over.  Our PD keeps our Certs up to date for legal reasons.  The Colt re-cert is every 3 years as an example and I have been through the course 3 times and I had the same instructor each time.

Glock makes you recert every 2 years, I have been thru the class several times.  FYI you MUST be a LEO or sponsored by a glock stocking dealer to get into the class these days..

The class is good once as has been stated. When I went thru they offered a discounted purchase price of a glock of your choice direct from the factory to the agency but that was many years ago....I still have that glock 19.....

Colt also has a purchase program for those who attend the course.  They do not offer all items but have a good selection.  They are dealer prices or better but purchases must be made within 90 days after getting your certification.
