Quiz? I wasn't aware of a quiz. Most agency you take a fairly lengthy test. And there are no tricks to taking it. Basically you're smart enough or your not. There are books you can buy to help prepare you for law enforcement exams. Police Link Forums Moderator PAIN IS WEAKNESS LEAVING THE BODY! |

Posted 3 months ago I seen a few of them on this website, but to help myself out I am trying to do as many "ride alongs" I can get in before I test.

Posted 3 months ago eh ride a longs...did one...I knew the deputy so we just joked most of the time. I think it would be smartest for you to prepare for your oral boards ( thats the toughest most stressful part I think), if your department gives you a packet to study for the written test, just go over it a few times and dont freak out. Start thinking about references you might use for your backround investigator, little things like that.

I hope I read the new rules correctly ... that unless it says "COPS ONLY" in the title then I'm able to answer posts. And if I completely got it wrong I appologize and please don't turn me in to the principal. Shellshocked, talk with Nikkochey and/ or RPL they both have experience with the test.

Posted 3 months ago The tests that they usually give you are NOT tests to see how much you know about police work. The tests that I took were basically IQ tests and tests that check your ability to compose a comprehensive 'story' or report. In addition they ask questions to discover your ability to reason. They are not going to ask you what the statute is for an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

Posted 3 months ago I know that I probably shouldn't post anything, I'm not an officer and not intending to impersonate or anything. I just remembered seeing a couple practice exams on the internet some time ago. You might try and see if you can find some.
