| Posted 4 months ago Did you introduce yourself in introductions? Anyway I'd say gun a couple spare mags, handcuffs Pain is weakness leaving the body. Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. |

| Posted 4 months ago shaving kit (tooth brush, razor, soap, deodorant etc), clean drawers, DRY SOCKS, a clean, but rolled up, tactical uniform. Spare mags, an extra gun, with mags. I also carry a body mike, mini-recorder with tapes and extra batteries, event logs, paper and pens (I'm the primary negotiator). My St. Mike's is in my vest. | Posted 4 months ago Uh,...yeah, gonna help me with this one. I saw Frost's inventory and wondered if it was similar to a Sleepover Bag [kidding...] versus a BUG. I think I understand a bug out bag to be a kind of inventory in case of an evac or major catastrophic event. I've been on 24+ hour SWAT callout with the clothes on my back, water, a couple of MRE's and that's about it. I have also been worked in flooded areas where you are kind of left to your own resources. Whatever the definition we are talking about as far as a 'bug out bag', I can tell you I carry light. My 'war bag' has everything I need for 36 hours. I do not have a change of clothes. I do have extra batteries, ammo and food. Since I am lugging around this stuff daily it is gets old real fast, I have 'learnt' to travel light. Oh, yeah. I always carry an undisclosed amount of cash..... | Posted 4 months ago I concider a bug out bag to be for a single incedent like an active shooter. My war bag is for the long stuff. My bug out has extra mags for my rifle, and handgun, an extra hand gun, zip cuffs bateries a spare light. And some med supplies like ace bandage, tape, 4x4s, and sanitary napkins. (Don't laugh they are excellect compress bandages under an ace bandage.) I reject your reality and submit my own. |

What I like about the bag is I grab it, throw it over my shoulder and I am set for action. Some guys around here have vests set up and that looks like it would work as well. I reject your reality and submit my own. |

| Posted 4 months ago Maybe if you clarified your question a bit, it might help. If you are on a SWAT team, there are certain items you may need extra. If you looking at a Major event such as a flood, other items come to mind. The other thing is why are you putting it together now? Normally there's a little advanced notice of most things, floods, strikes, whatever might require your services, that would be the time to start packing then. What good are the items going to be if you pack them today and don't pick up the bag for 6 months or more? I worked for a State Police Department, we were subject to be deployed state wide at any moment, and we knew if we were sent plan on being gone two weeks. If it didn't last that long, fine. If it did, two weeks was the time you stayed before the replacements arrived. My point is, the contents of the bag is in direct proportion to the occasion at hand. Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have. |

| Posted 4 months ago Extra rifle and pistol mags, hydration system, MRE's, first aid kit, extra flashlight, emergency radio, batteries, night vision monocle (sp?), rope/snap link, poncho, flares, and a set of BDUs. This is all packed in a '3-Day' bag, which is easily accessible. Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil. |

| Posted 4 months ago I have a active shooter bag (maxpedition) that I sling over a shoulder. It has 3 rifle mags, 3 pistol mags, some paracord, zip tie cuffs, 2 sharpies for marking doors, etc, 1 tampon, 1 sani. pad with some gauze wrap. We have a bunch of officers here that bought the plate carriers with Molle attachments that they use for stuff like that. This is different from my hurricane supplies. Which has 2 bdu sets with complete clothing changes, portable chargers for my flashlight, radio, phone and an 80 pack of lithium batteries as well. I stick 3 days worth of MRE's and water plus a med kit. I even put a plug kit for tires. There is some other stuff too but that is the main things. I voted for an American hero not an American zero. |
