I like "Running Scared" with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines. I am old school-not yet a dinosaur, and the dialogue was classic for the 80s cops. Ending a little far fetched but only by reality standards-pretty tame for todays movies.

Just watched "World Trade Center" last nite with Nick Cage.... All I can say is "WOW"....

The 7-UPS has one of the best car chases-as does the French Connection.  Anyone still rate the original Fort Apache-the Bronx?

I still go with the lethal weapon series, I had to buy a 92F as soon as I was 21, just so I could be like Riggs. No crazy, just liked the gun.

Donnie Brasco is a 1997 film by Mike Newell starring Al Pacino, Michael Madsen and Johnny Depp. It is loosely based on the real-life events of Joseph D. Pistone, an FBI agent who successfully infiltrated the Bonanno crime family, one of the Mafia's Five Families based in New York City during the 1970s, under the alias Donnie Brasco.

Where can I start:

French connection 1 & 2, SWAT, New Centurions, Blue Knight, Serpico, Chiorboys, and several others that everyone has listed as well.

Love all the old ones made from Joesph Wambaugh books. 

Loved the funny ones too like Freebie and the Bean

Hot Fuzz is hilarious! Even more so if you have been to England or have had contacts with constables. Mr. P.I. Staker-classic!

I think that the Lethal Weapon movies are pretty cool.

Bullitt.  It is a 1968 film starring Steve McQueen. Bullitt is most-remembered for its central car chase scene through the streets of downtown San Francisco, one of the most influential car chase sequences in movie history.The scene had Bullitt in a dark "Highland Green"1968 Ford Mustang, 390 CID Fastback, chasing two  hit men1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum

Old school would probably be "The New Centurions" and "The Choirboys" both of which were much better as books.

Inbetween old school and newer stuff would be "Colors" and "Internal Affairs"

Newer stuff would be "Training Day"

It's all Hollyweird stuff though, better entertainment can be found in a twelve hour tour in probably just about any of our cruisers on any given night.

There are so many, I think I would have to go with the Lethal Weapon series as well, but I love both Bad Boys movies too.

Hands down:  Super Troopers             "Schnozberries tast like schnozberries...!"

Other good ones are: Hot Fuzz, Heat, the Die Hard series, the Lethal Weapon series, and Narc
