This guy, said on his show that kids with Autism are brats that have never been told no. I seen this tonight on  CNN. He is taking a lot of heat for this, but what he really needs is a father with a child with Autism to give him a free trip to the ER to have his face put back together. What is up with all these people attacking kids with Autism? These kids can not help it. They have not done no one wrong. Its growing more and more common everyday. I say 1 in 3 people have contact with a child with it. I am a father to one, and would love to meet Mr Savage face to face. I take stuff like this to heart. My son Hunter is not broken, he is who he is. If people has a problem with his Autism, bring it to me. He goes to school, and understands alot of things. What people need to do is shut their mouth when they don't know what they are talking about. I would not wish this on no one, but I hope Mr Savage meets a father someday that feels like I do. Its not a broken arm, a small cut, its everyday and its hard to live with. Comments from people like him only make it harder on the ones who deal with it. I can't understand why this guy still has his job, but they have had protests at his station. Its a sick world when someone gets kicked while down anyway. No child asks to have Autism, no father wants to have to live everyday with it either, but some do. Mr Savage is a punk, and I pray for him! I know that he will run into the wrong dad, and take a bad beating for his words. I pray it don't happen, but he should have watched his mouth and told his self NO when the subject came up. This is a big story right now on all the news stations, and I hope to see him without a job soon. Not for my son's sake, but for every child that he disgraced. My son is fine, and as long as I have a heart beat, he will be taken care of, its just for the others that need the care my son gets. Mr Savage, I Pray for you!

Thank you Sir, my son means the world to me. He might have Autism, but he is my Hunter. Thats how God made him and I am happy with him just being my son. This guy was wrong, and I am starting this topic to defend the others that is on the same boat with me. This guy needs to be fired, and people need to understand 10 years ago it was 1 in 1000, now its 1 in 150 kids that has it. Its getting bad and its nothing to talk about unless you have the facts. I was about to go to sleep when it came on the news, and now I am fired up and will be up tonight just thinking about what a asshole that man is.

His comment that 99% of the kids just needs their ass busted and told NO, that was all that was wrong with them.

Wait. Isnt Autism in the genetics?

I've worked with kids who have Autism and I DARE Mr. Savage to tell them NO.  Autism is not a behavorial disorder, it is a neurological disorder which cannot be helped and one at which the child and their families adapt to.  I call all the kids I have worked with my special little angels and I challenge Mr. Savage to spend a day with them and then see what he has to say about it.  Guys like him take extreme advantage of the 1st ammendment rights not to mention extreme liberties on talking about issues which they probably don't much about to begin with anyways.

Stalker, you are a very kind hearted person. Your son is very fortunate to have you as a dad. This Savage freak needs to learn what true love & compassion is because unfortunately he is deprived of it! I have never tolerated anyone bad mouthing a child! Even as a kid I stood up to the punks who dis-respected another for being different. Alot of times I was standing up for myself because I was different. I've taught my children to NEVER dis-respect anyone because of differences. Savage apparently is one who was never taught any better as a child. That's one reason why the world is so cruel....because they were never taught any better . to love a child is the most wonderful, heart melting thing in this world. When I was expecting my first child my Dr. ask me if I wanted some kind of test done that would determine if my child had Downs Syndrome....my answer....no that won't be necessary because I am going to love my baby no matter what, no need in a test like that(as a matter of fact, it hurt my feelings, although it was just common procedure to ask since I was at a certain age. I am so glad that everyone in this world isn't like Savage, I couldn't deal with it. From one parent to another....keep your head up & alway's remember....your son is special to you & it's alway's going to be up to you to protect him from gutter-scum like this fool who made that remark. To all of us that have true hearts....our children will alway's be special to us. God protect our little ones.

I've heard of his show.  He is based out of CA and considered a shock jock.  What he said about autisim was ignorant, but usually the other stuff he talks about is dead on.  He's a conservative, and pro military/police.  Again, I don't agree with his statements about autism. 

Well, you know even if he is pro-cop, and he needed my help I would do my duty to protect him because its what I do. I just hate when people attack the weak, and they have no voice. I might be a cop, but I have a voice for any one who is weak and needs me to stand up for them.

Thats why we wear the badge, but the badge is only metal. Its the person behind the badge and what they stand for.

That it is my Brother, without officers like you behind it, that badge wouldn't mean a whole lot.

HE IS THE SWEETEST BOY I HAVE EVER MET..   HE IS VERY KIND HEARTED AND LOVES TO BE AROUND ALL OF US.   IM SORRY THIS JERK HAD TO RUIN YOUR NIGHT... BUT I CAN TELL YOU ONE THING.. I wonder if Mr. Savage has hard evidence to back his theory.

I don't have direct contact with an autistic child but I can't see how anyone,let alone someone in the media that people listen to,could say such things about a child that is having enough difficulties already.
