Posted 5 months ago Officer Kelly Overstreet passed away on 8-8-08, from possible heart problems. At the same time, for 13 yrs, he worked for TDCJ. Before he was in law enforcement, he served our country. Kelly was a very dedicated officer. He put his whole life into his job. Christ was in his life every minute of the day. He was a single parent with full custody of his son that had brain injuries from a wreck. He would go without sleep to make sure his son was taken care of at all times. Kelly was only 40 years old when he past away yesterday morning [8-8-08]. At this time, they believe it was an heart attack. One more thing. Kelly not only had his life to tend to but if someone needed something, he would go out of his way to make sure they got what they needed. He touched many lives in his life. And he never wanted to be honored as a hero. Love in Christ." | Posted 5 months ago Oh Lord no. Kelly was a wonderful guy and his passing will be felt very deeply by so many people. Rest in Peace Officer Overstreet. We will be praying for you and know that you will be watching over your son still. Damn, this really hurts as Kelly was one of the first guys I made friends with here.
