doing away with pits?

Posted 3 months ago In the past few months, I have heard talk about New York state as well as a few other states trying to do away with the pitbull breed. Being from NY and having a pitbull, this makes me a little bit worried. Has anyone heard anything about this and what is your take on it? |

| Posted 3 months ago I live far from NY but I dont think it will happen. ANY breed of dog can go haywire at any moment, I have a pit bull / black lab mix and shes not aggressive at all. I know many pit bulls that have never shown aggression and it's a popular stereotype. I will say though pit bulls account for far more attacks than other breeds but it all depends on how the dog is raised. They're just like humans. If you raise a human to be violent they will be violent simple as that. If you look at most aggresive people they came from bad families with bad backgrounds and the same goes for dogs. Hell I have seen aggressive great danes and docile dobermans so it's hit or miss with dogs and thier owners. **This meassage is approved by Malibu22** |
