Posted 3 months ago The pick is in and the winner is? Gov. Sarah Palin, of the great State of Alaska. What does everyone think of Sen. John McCain's pick - Pro's and Con's. Gov. Palin is a Lifetime Member/Supporter of the NRA how cool is that. |

| Posted 3 months ago Obama shouldnt be talking about experience. He was part of the most currupt governement body before hitting the spot light. I think Palin is a good pick.... |

| Posted 3 months ago Palin has much more experience and has proven she will take on even her own party! Go McCain/Palin! |

| Posted 3 months ago What good is experience if you don't have PRIDE! Obama = Has experience and no pride! Palin = Has experience and pride! The choice is clear McCain is a proven war hero and Palin is a proven supporter of the Military and all it's heroes, both support our right to bear arms and are proud Americans who pledge their alligence to the flag of the United States of America.... Need I say more! |

| Posted 3 months ago I agree that the "McCain and Palin" is the best choice for the citizens of the USA. I believe that either one of them is better than Obama as a commander and chief of the military. It appears that the liberals are trying to bring us down to the level of the rest of the world, and are trying to turn us into a third world nation. If Clinton had not cut the military and we were as strong as when Regan was president the Russians would not have made a move on Georgia. Right now we are spread so thin that we can not react to situations like Gerogia and the Russians know it. | Posted 3 months ago McCain can deal a death blow to Obama if he does as well with his speech tonight as Gov. Palin did last night. | Posted 3 months ago I just watched the McCain speach. He started slow and I thought it was going to be a long night. However, as he went along he got stronger and stronger. Whow! What a finish. I recently finished the 1st of several books written about Senator McCain, entitled Faith of My Fathers: A Family Memoir by John McCain and Mark Salter.
A former POW quoted from it tonight in the video introduction for Senator McCain’s speech. The book covers Senator McCain’s grandfather, father and McCain’s own life up until he was released from captivity near the end of the Viet Nam War.
This is a link to a rather long article about John McCain’s journey from being a 3rd generation naval officer to the United States Senate.
McCain’s path from the Navy to Washington, D.C.- The New York Times via MSNBC: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24883802/
Both the book and the article are extremely insightful into ‘who is john McCain,’ and I invite you to read as much about him as you can. If you are interested in WWII or Vietnam War history the book is a ‘must read’ because both John McCain’s father & grandfather played such important roles in them.
You can click on the link above for the Amizon.Com page to the books.

| Posted 3 months ago I feel much better about this ticket and the election after the convention. Palin was a great pick and could be the catalyst for a not-so-close win in November. After seeing the videos on her, Cindy McCain and being reminded of John's history again - I'm very proud of all three of them. |

| Posted 3 months ago I agree that the ticket is much stronger than the Democrat ticket. If you compare them I do not understand how anyone could vote for the Obama ticket. He is sitting around right know wondering what just happened to the race. I, also, do not see this being such a tight race now. | Posted 2 months ago While stationed in Alaska 2003-06 I actually lived in Wasilla, AK and the people of AK loved what Sarah Palin did for the city and the state. I was for McCain before she joined the ticket, but was afraid he would not be able to beat the Dems if Hillary Clinton joined with Obama. I think McCain couldn't have picked a better running mate and look forward to what they bring to Washington. Obama really screwed up by picking Biden. Good for the US! |

| Posted 2 months ago The American people as a whole are conservative, and that is what the left does not understand. Governor Palin fire up the American voters because is from the people. She has the same problems that we all have to deal with, and I believe that her heart is in the right place. Knowlege is a great thing but if you are not true to the American way of life, then we do not need you. Mcain/ Palin O8' |

| Posted 2 months ago I had the honor of meeting John McCain back in 04 just a few weeks before I retired from the military. He was one of the most graceful and humble people that I ever met. I too believe he and Palin are the best choice for our next president. |

I don't believe this article is referring to the trooper that was fired , I might have to agree with that firing. But after reading these I have to say I'm a little concerned about Palin and her husband,(whats with the emails and sitting in on meetings). Its still not going to sway me not to vote for McCain |

| Posted 2 months ago If these two men are "at will" employees, I think she could replace them without a reason if she so desired. It happens all over america. | Posted 2 months ago Not only did McCain take NOBAMA to school during the debate, he picked Palin who has a special needs child and NOBAMA is against special needs funding. This should be very interesting tomorrow night. |

| Posted 2 months ago The trooper in question is still employed as a AK State Trooper. So what's the problem? Not sure why he wasn't fired based on the allegations it sounds like he abused Palin's sister which should get him fired as a peace officer. |
