Me too! I attempted to catch that kiss that she blew, I missed. She is an outstanding choice and will be a superior VP. You can't cure stupid. |

She is a hell of a woman... five kids, a man's man for a husband, a moose hunter, she shoots, she hunts... if only she played the bagpipes. You can bet your bottom dollar that Ahmadinejad is right now saying, "Damn! first Reagan, now her!!!" |

I watched the entire speech, I think she was awesome, she was tough were she needed to be, she showed true emotion, she showed her love for this country and she spoke extremely well of her qualifications. | Posted 3 months ago I did not listen to the speech, I suppose I should have but I am settled on my vote so I did not think it neccessary. Pain is weakness leaving the body. Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. |

| Posted 3 months ago The tongue in cheek humor is what she uses in her speeches in Alaska. That was her real personality. A very likeable regular everyday person. |

| Posted 3 months ago That speech was classic Sarah H. Palin! I know Srah Palin and if you meet her she won't call herself "Governor" she will give you a firm handshake and say "Hi, I'm Sarah"! She remembers first names and she is what she is. She is not going to change, she is not going to cow-tow to the liberal media and she is not going away! this is why we in AK call her "Sarah the baracuda". She poses a serious threat to the radical left. Sarah supports honest and responsible gun ownership, support for the military (her son is about to deploy to Iraq), she opposes gay rights, she is an Evangelical Christian and she is an advocate for law enforcement. She has been a friend of AK's police officers (the Ak Peace Officer's Officers Association) and the AK Assoc of Chiefs of Police. She bucked the good ole' boy system within the AK Republican establishment in Juneau and she has bucked the influence of the oil industry. She is a reformer! She is going to be a great VP and she IS a great mother, wife and friend! When the liberal crazies attack her, she just gets stronger! GO MCCAIN-PALIN! Eat your hearts out liberals! |

I busted out laughing when the camera showed her little girl holding the baby and she licked her hand to lay down his hair!!!!!! I can relate having 4 kids of my own... they do stuff like that... and thats just being kids....... I thought it was adorable!!! But also being a Mom, I'm sure when she found out about it most likely said """NO YOU DIDN"T!!! AAHHH!!!! """"" LOL!!!!!! I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! |

| Posted 3 months ago Unfortunately I did not get to see, or hear, the entire speech. As an Amateur Radio Operator I had been doing volunteer work at the local Red Cross Shelter for Hurricane Gustav evacuees here in Oxford Alabama. While we didn't do a lot of "radio" work we were monitoring news updates, via the Internet, from the Louisiana and Mississippi areas for those evacuees. It wasn't until I arrived back home that I turned on the TV and began watching the fantastic speech being delivered. I loved those "little jabs" at Obama and I think she will be a great Vice-President. Of course, to me, it really doesn't or didn't matter who was chosen as the Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate because I'm voting that way no matter what!!! |

This was written by a resident of Alaska who is also a member of the Alaskan National Guard. This gives a different point of view of the governor - other than CNN - from one who has experienced her dedication to the people of Alaska .
I was watching CNN this morning and found out that Sarah Palin has been nominated as vice president. After further watching the Creative News Network, they've already started to put a spin on her qualifications.
Well.. From first hand experience here in Alaska , this lady rocks! I don't know really where to start except that she does what she says and says what she does. When our guard units here packed up and went to Iraq and Afghanistan , she packed up and went to visit them, to find out how things were going, how were their families doing back home. It was a serious morale booster for them. She made sure she met with each and every one of her guard soldiers. From what the guys told me after they got home (and seeing first hand), Palin is down to earth, considerate, and caring. Palin exudes self confidence when she walks into a room.
One of the reasons why she got into politics; Sarah was pissed that the mayor of Wasilla had his driveway paved by city money and all of his cronies driveways as well. Palin ran for the mayor's office and won. She put a stop to the BS and cronyism that was going on (she did NOT have her driveway paved!). Sarah thought about running for Governor, but the republican party in Alaska would not support her, they were supporting their GOB: Frank Murkowski. Palin made it on the ballot and won by a landslide. She has the biggest approval rating ever in this state. CNN is eluding to that she has no experience. Hmmmm.. I guess being the Governor for two years of a state that is one third the size of the United States is just a little thing. Dealing with the Canadians, Japanese, Koreans, and Russians really doesn't count as foreign relations either.
Gov. Palin is a Alaskan through and through. You open up Websters, flip to Alaskan; her picture is next to the word. Sarah Palin camps, hunts, fishes, snowmachines, 4wheels.
When she was at the governors conference in Dallas and pregnant, labor pains came on, she called Alaska Airlines and scheduled a special flight home, so that her baby would be born in Alaska . Her take on it: her baby was going to be born in Alaska , not Texas .
When the oil companies started to dick around with the oil leases (big oil companies bought leases 30 or so years ago and sat on them, never to drill or explore), Palin told them to get off the pot or they can start paying taxes on the projected oil and gas that is in those leases. She gave them a deadline.. They're moving equipment to those leases now and drilling. Paying taxes on something they haven't pulled out of the ground was not a good thing.. ;) She sticks to her guns and doesn't let anybody scare her off, big oil companies or not. Every time something has gone on in this state, good or bad, Sarah is johnny-on-the-spot to see what is going on and how she can help.
Side note: A company downtown has been printing up T-shirts that say "My Governor is HOTTER than your Governor!" with her pic on the front... ;)

Fox News just reported that the telepromter was broken for the first 5 minutes... the hockey moms and Pitt Bull comment was extemporaneous (off the top of her head). Good grief, she eats moose stew and drives herself to work. Left wing media and Dems will regret knocking heads with her. |
