How did you meet your spouse?

Posted 2 months ago I met mine through the wife of the saxophone player in my band. She walked into their house, slipped on a throw rug and fell right in the middle of the floor. Couldn't help noticing those beautiful legs. Told her right then and there that I would marry her some day. Six months later I did just that. Been together 40 years this next November. Wouldn't change a thing and would marry her all over again. |

| Posted 2 months ago I met my wife through a soldier pen-pal letters program. I was in Iraq(04-05) and was looking for someone to talk to from my home state of California. We started writting back and forth for several months. Then on my R/R, I asked her to marry me. We were married on March 5, 2005 as soon as I got back from Iraq and we have been married for three years now and going strong. P.S. R/R was great.........LOL

| Posted 2 months ago I met my leo husband while I was at work at the local hospital (I'm clerical, not clinical). He had brought a prisoner in to get clearance to go to jail. That happened a lot..and before long we became friends. Two years later, we decided to carry our friendship to the next level, and almost two years after that, we were married. 11 years, woo hoo!!! | Posted 2 months ago I picked up my girlfriend at her college dorm to take her to church and she asked if her friends could get a ride, too. My girlfriend sat in front with me and three more girls got in the back seat. I could see the one in the middle in the rear-view mirror and she was very pretty. I married the girl in the middle 3 years later. It's lasted over 28 years now, so I must have picked the right one. Go out today and preach the gospel, and if you must, use words. | Posted 2 months ago I was working at a coffee shop in Sacrademento and she worked across the street. She thought I was a total hooligan and wanted nothing to do with me. I finally asked her out for lunch and she floored me when she said "yes". We then hung out for a couple of months before we started dating. I eventually knocked her up and then we moved in together, and then eventually we got hitched. We're in year 9 of being married and year 13 of being together. She hasn't kicked me out yet, so I think she'll keep me a little bit longer. :) |

| Posted 2 months ago In her Academy class.. She was always the quiet one while I taught but I noticed everyone, to include her class leader, came to her for advice.. One day she began to become involved in class discussion and would debate me on every point.. A complete pain in the ass.. On her Graduation night the class was getting together for their grad party and some of the instructors went to celebrate the new Officers.. She walked up to me and told me that she believed that I would make a good officer one day and winked.. Just as I was leaving the get together I was approached by the class moral officer (Badge Bunny) who was trying real hard to score with any and all the instructors.. She walked up and grabbed my arm, threw me a kiss and told the Bunny that I was taken.. Sent her packing.. That was March of 06.. Got married Oct 07.. 20th will be one year.. She is the best thing to ever happen to me.. Still a pain in the ass but so am I.. God invented whiskey to prevent the Irish from ruling the World....

| Posted 2 months ago I met him in high school, I was a Sophmore and he was a Senior. I had the biggest crush on him. But after he graduated he went into the Army and I didn't hear from him again until the year I graduated. I was working in a restaurant and he came in with some of his friends and family. He only had 3 days left on leave which we spent together. His next tour was Korea for another year. When he returned we were married, the 23rd will be 15 years. |

| Posted 2 months ago The first I heard of Tom Chapman was reading about his near-fatal car accident along with the death of his first wife in the paper... I shit you not. Well I didn't know him never met him but I began to pray for this man even asking God to take ME instead of him so the kids wouldn't lose BOTH parents. Well, I didn't die.... and he eventually recovered enough to go home from the hospital, so, cool...... I forgot all about him until I was 1/2 way through my Construction Mechanic A-school. Went to the MWR to fart around on the computer and I turned on Yahoo Instant Messenger. Someone in the NY Chat room IM'ed me and in my irritable state I was like "OK now who the f*** are you....." We got to talking and it was the same man I had read about and prayed for to live. We exchanged phone numbers and so we were able to continue carrying on a conversation after the MWR kicked me out so they could close. What struck me was his simple, gentle and friendly manner. Phone calls increased in frequency and in length.Pretty soon all I could think about was getting home to him..... and that is when I began to get scared. Seemed that I was flypaper for freaks and I didn't want to fall in love again if it was only going to turn to shit, or I end up getting shot in the desert and coming home in a body bag (I could NOT put him through that again) But I said to my shipmates "I'm crazy if I don't give him a chance." We webcammed. His thought was "I AM GOING TO MARRY THAT WOMAN!" Mine? "Wow..... looks like a serial killer!!" But being tired of gorgeous assholes, I could scarce afford to let a man's looks get in the way. November 23, 2006 I got off the plane at Syracuse Hancock Airport. All I had in the world, I had with me. Two seabags full of uniforms, a few civilian clothes, a blanket, a pillow, a DVD player with some movies..... and a VERY tired expression. I looked up and down. No one was there. I trudged down to find a phone. Found Tom and the kids. At first I was reserved and polite but that quickly melted away the first time he put his hand on mine. We have had our ups and downs and all arounds but we were married on May 22, 2008 and are still going strong. Every policeman is my friend. Every firefighter is my idol. Every Soldier and Marine is my hero. Every Sailor is my shipmate, and every Seabee is my brother. |

| Posted 2 months ago I met my wife through mutual friends but online. One of her friends was dating one of my partners. Since we were both single at the time my partner and his girlfriend thought they should hook us up. My partner gave me her screen name so we could chat online. we chatted for a couple of days then started talking on the phone. We finally met in person about two weeks later and we've been together ever since. Its been 9 years since we met and we've been married for 8 years. She is the love of my life. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Stalked her. :-) She used to jog around town. I would look for her while I was on patrol. Finally when I was about to talk to her, she brought some papers to be served. I felt duty bound to wait a bit. Then we finally got together through a mutual friend. We have been together every day since our first date. Be a Warrior, Prepare yourself for Battle today ! |
