We have a pure-bred boxer that was given to us by a Mexican friend. A month after he got the pup his wife had a pup and it was too much to handle. He named him "Serazzo", which is Spanish for unripe fruit or slang for someone a little bit tipsy. Said the the dog reminded him of a guy from his home town. Well, none of the neighbors spoke Spanish and could only say "Rozzo" which my son thought sounded too much like his name Russell so he started calling him "Sam". After he chewed up my headset I started calling him "Damn Sam"

I have an Austrailian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog.  I named him Ajax.  I almost ran over him while on patrol one night.  Took him to the pound and he was still there a week later so I adopted him.

I have three dogs two chihuahuas. My male black standard size apple head chihuahua is named Stitch, he is my rescue dog I thought he was a garbage bag floating across the road. He runs very low and kind of floats when he runs so I did not know what he was. Then I have a chihuahua mini min pin mix. Maggie Mae was saved by my friend from the euthanasia list at the SPCA. She had a litter while in the care of the SPCA and they determined she was to old to adopt out so they were just going to euthanize her. On by behalf um yeah NO!!! Then we have a 6 month old Belgian Mal. We bought her as a proection and working dog, nobody told me how much attitude she would have OMG! Raige runs me raged. I love her to death, but Raige is a pain in the butt.

I have a German Shepherd Mix and his name is JoJo. He's a rescue dog and he was the only one of the pack that didn't bark at me when I entered the room. The name fits him well because he's silly and crazy. I was debating on Diggy or JoJo and I guess my inspiration was also the series, Run's House. His kids are nuts!

"Dan"  A Mally named by the venders.

Usually in the morning I call him "Dan the Pan" cause after he eats, he removes his stainless steel food pan with his nose to make it a "hockey puck".  This in itself isn't too bad if I can retrieve his "puck" in time.  However, when a slight delay has occured, does his nose initiate this "puck's" hyper- velocity and create a spectacular collison with a gigantic mound of poo.  Hence "Dan the Pan" fits nicely.

"Painter" is another name I have for my partner as he shows off his aerobic skills (after retrieval of said pan) and continues perform the  infamous "anti-gravitational Mally spin" (Mally owners know exactly of this frequent occurrance) till the entire kennel is covered in a special poo coating only a living animal could produce.   So "Painter" gets another wash off, as bathing too much can dry out his soft suple skin and "Painter" can't have that!

"Stinky Boy" is another coined term for my mentor... usually after the above mentioned hose off.

"Pee-pee Boy" is another surname as when he is so engrossed in all the "flavors" of outside air current that by the time we get to the vehicle to start the shift, does "Dan" realize he needs to urinate and promptly washes off the poo from front paws with pee.  Hence "Pee-pee Boy".

During the day, I run a gammit of names.  Mostly "Knucklehead" as times he just doesn't want to give up his towel without shredding the living daylights out of it.  Not that they are very expensive, but the towels we get are from some third world country that I'm sure has a little kid shackled to a textile machine just making these towels for next to nothing....  So "Knucklehead" has to be told two or three times (or more), to include the adoption of colorful language which Sister Nicita of St Sylvester's Grade School would not approve of and would certainly hand out punishment across my already scared knuckles with the 4' extension of her arm  (AKA blackboard pointer).  This would be closely followed by an Excommunicatation from the local parish.

"Slow your Roll" is another name.  "Dan" or  Knucklehead" (you know who I'm talking about) attempts to accelerate into the kennel after shift, thinking the finest canine cuisine has been served via the "puck".  A slight interference exists as a 6' high fence and tiled wall segragating our fury partners from obtaining "freedomous aroundous".  So it never fails, as soon as I get all the safety latches arranged in perfect alignment to the planets within the universe, does the gate finally open, and "Dan" assumes "four paw drive" to levitate my stature into a somewhat horizontal nature.... So now my partner becomes hey "Slow your Roll".

"Lipstick" is another name my partner has acquired since our relationship was forged.  "Lipstick" (AKA "Dan")  is a rather large Begian Malinois (65lbs+ this week) who is still in puberty at 16 months of age.  Since we also have female canines in the co-located condos  "Dan" sees his fair share of the ladies... and at times when showing off his "puck" (now with all it's lovely fecal coating), has his... well.... you know, all of his "greatness"  for the entire world to admire.  Now this term "Lipstick" is much alike your female friend's tube of lipstick in their purse.  One needs to twist the bottom of a lipstick tube for it to expose the inner cosmestics.  This total scenario may sound  benign, however, the real concern lies when he does such a great job, at what we do and payment is made via towel (hopefully retrieved previously before shredding) and enjoys a roll upon his back, dew claws inter-twined upon his prize and his fully exposed "Lipstick" is in plain view for the papparazzi to photograph.  It becomes even more distressing when this phenomenom occurs in the International jet way full of boarding JAL Stewardesses.... Laughter still rings strong in my cerebellum as my last ounce of professionalism departs my uniformed facade.

So, there you have it.  You asked.  Probably more than you wanted to know and yet, will probably have more names for "Dan" later this week.  Whatta "Knucklehead", "Slow your Roll".................... no, he's just "Dan" and I love him the way he is (to include a little soap!).

I have 3 Chihuahuas, full blooded.  Chico (already named when we got him), Cinnamon (cause her coat is cinnamon colored) and George (the result of Chico and Cinnamon, who wakes up in a new world every 30 seconds, like George of the Jungle).

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
