With the variety of models and calibers available, LEOs have a wide choice of which Glock model is right for them. Discuss what model and caliber you prefere and why.

We are issued a 31 and a 33 in the 357 sig. I like them cause it's a hot round.

I carry the Glock 23 in .40 cal on duty. We are issued Ranger SXT ammunition, which makes the .40 a good choice. I like the Glock 23's size because it is easily concealed off-duty.

I carry a Glock model 22 on duty, and a 23 off duty.  I own a limited edition glock 27 with a chrome slide.  I would carry the 27off duty, but the chrome slide makes it out of policy for my dept.

We are issued and I am personnally in love with my 22C.  Easy to conceal and a joy to fire.  Never have I walked away from qualifying with a score lower than a 98%.  One thing that might deter others in carrying a compensated Glock is the flash it puts off when fired at night.  Great tool to have overall.

Glock 21SF here as well. I own a Glock 22 and I can't even begin to tell you how much I like the 21SF over the 22 when it comes to recoil.

My department issues Sig's but I can't stand the double action on the first pull so I did the sensible thing and bought my own model 21 and a model 30 back up.  Glock is the only gun other than my rifle I trust my life with.

I carry a Glock 19C for easy concealment.  Plus, being compensated makes the gun a tack driver.  My other carry is a Sig 226.  It was what I carried as a duty weapon.  I like the weight and the 3lb. trigger pull after the 1st shot.  Call me old fashion.

Whether it's a 17m 21Sf or something else, the most important points are this:

1. Make double sure, maybe triple sure it is unloaded before you clean it. You already know why.

2. It don't matter what caliber or size. Just be a good shooter. That means practice. That mean cleaning your gun. That means getting on board with the fact that carrying a gun mean responsibility. The is not such thing as a 'man stopper'. There is such thing as proficiency in competency in working your gun.

There are openings at McDonalds if all you want to do is look cool. They have great hats you can wear.

We are either issued a Glock 22 or 23.  I have a 23 at this time.  I would prefer to have the 21SF.  Our department has been looking at the 45's and I agree they should change.  Sarge is so right, practice and practice some more.  All guns are loaded.

22 and 27 for duty, 31 for play

It was once said the way to understand men is to understand their basic principles. 1 All men need to feel they are better than at least one other person. 2 Man naturally accumulates objects. 3 Man naturally feels his objects maybe less superior than his neighbors. 4 Men are naturally driven to improve his position in comparison to what he knows about others.

Through my department, I am issued a Glock 37m which I carry when in uniform. I usually work undercover, so I carry the Glock 27 most of the time.

I have permission from my chief to modify my model 23. I am replacing the factory trigger with a 3.5 lb trigger. My bud is a glock armorer, so the cost of labor is a couple of beers!

I am carrying one of the early import model 21.  You can't beat the knock down power of a .45 cal.

Model 22 and a model 27.  I like the fact that I can use my duty mags in my 27.
