| Posted 2 months ago Have you checked Cabela's online. Shipping might be big$$. Building one isn't hard. Find a pallet, 1/2 to 3/4 OSB to cover the pallet, a couple of 4x4s I have used 4" and 6" landscaping timbers too, deck screws, chain (to mount it to the tree). Most of this is made from scrap lumber from almost any building site, so cost isn't a concern. Take the pallet, cover it with OSB and deck screw it down into the cross sections of the pallet. Use several coats of deck stain to seal the OSB, pallet, 4x4s and steps. Drill pilot holes for carriage bolts, two per side for the 4x4s, through the pallet and into the 4x4s, if you have a cordless drill, wait until your ready to put the stand up to attach the 4x4 ladder/legs, it's easier to carry into the woods that way. Then attach "steps" onto the 4x4s for your ladder. You can make the ladder as wide as you need and the steps as far apart as you need to fit who ever is climbing into the stand. Lean it against the tree and chain it down, I use adjustable straps and check them before I climb into the stand. Remember to use a fall harness once your in the stand! |

| Posted about 1 month ago Take a look at Gander Mountain and / or Dick's Sporting Goods stores. Money spent shipping could be an issue. Much Luck! |

Is it you that wants this or your husband? Should we ask him first if he wants one? Pain is weakness leaving the body. Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. |
