SC law Enforcement Training
Posted 2 months ago I just moved to SC from NC due to the Marine Corps recalling me to active duty and stationed me at Beaufort. I was about to start BLET or NC HWYPD depending on who would except me first. How is the trainning program and schooling in SC work? I have done a littile research and found out about the justice academy. Do local schools offer a BLET program? Any pointers to SC law enforcement? Any thing at all would be great. |

| Posted 2 months ago Thank you for your service to our great country. SC has one CJ academy, which is nine weeks long. You must be employed by an agency before attending. You should have no trouble graduating at the top of your class. Good luck! I checked your profile. There are agencies that employ public safety officers - police and fire fighter duties combined. Cayce DPS (near Columbia), N. Myrtle Beach, and a few others. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Sheepdog is right. Ever since 1975 EVERY LEO in SC has to attend the SCCJA in Columbia within the first year of employment. I was basic class X! |
