Posted 2 months ago Hey brothers & sisters, I call on you all once again to pray for my family. My wife (Randilynn) took my two year old son (Chayton) to a pediatric opthamoligist Wednesday (10-01-08) because it looked as though he had developed what is commonly refered to as a "lazy eye" in his left eye. We had noticed it had been recently getting worse. When the Dr. dilated and examined his eye, he immediately got on his personal cell phone and called another Dr. in the same profession and sent my wife & son to see him. They dicovered that Chayton has a detached retina and has no vision in his left eye. He further has a tumor behind his left eye which is life threatening. We are currently in Houston awaiting an appointment to MD Anderson which is a top notch hospital. We currently have no idea how severe the tumor is at this time. We do know that the name of Chayton's condition which is Retinoblastoma. The best case scenario at this time is that the tumor will not be fatal and the Dr. will be able to save his eye. However he will not have any useable vision in his left eye. This is very hard for our family to take, being that it is our baby. I strongly feel that those of you who prayed for me when my Dr. thought I had Pancreatic Cancer got me through that difficult ordeal. That is what my family & I are hoping for this time around. I want to thank each and everyone of you in advance for your prayers and your support. I love you all and pray that God will hear and grant our prayers in this matter.
