Wow. You SUCK at typing/grammar/spelling. Also that is not a wise remark to say on a law enforcement site.

oh, I could open a whole new topic on this! I am not one to get on here a complain or "voice my opinion" very much, but l have very personal issues with truck drivers and if you have read my profile then you will know why. Truck drivers should be held over if caught speeding, the loggs should be kept up to date and time, and inspections should be held on a regular basis. Most of the time, if a big truck hits a personal vehicle, the truck driver walks away with not a scratch. Companies should also be held responsible if one of their drivers gets caught speeding or if the loggs are not correct. The driver that killed my brother was stopped for speeding in another state just a few hours before the accident. If he would have been made to lay over awhile, my brother might be here today. Everybody in a hurry to go everywhere! Just slow the hell down, and if your tired, pull over!! You might save ones life or your own.

I am sorry for your loss Becky. I also think truckers need to be more responsible at the wheel. They will win almost any accident they get in to.

Ya'll are absolutely right, Truckers and Companies should be held alot more accountable for their actions.  They have little or no regard for anyone else around them.  In addition to higher regulations and standards, I think they should also have to be checked for drugs and alchol on a regular basis.

Your comments about police and truckers were not appropriate for this site. Next time you come into this site bashing police you will be suspended. Got to a trucker site if you want to complain about us. We're not interested. Do your job, do it legally and you won't have to worry about us.

But to answer your question, yes there is help, drive for a reputable company they follow the rules, or become an owner operator.

Well  just like KSP494 said, he should have never came on the site to ask such a stupid question! What did he expect the answer to be! Whether i am in law eforcement or not, common sense tells me that no matter what i drive or driving to, the main objective is to be as safe as possible and follow the laws of where ever you are. The man that killed my brother only spent 4 months in jail and I know he deserved much more. Truckers know they can basically just push a small car or truck out of the way so they can speed to the destination. Take the speed factors and fatigue... accident waiting to happen.

We have to make a living too.  How about trying this.........Don't drive like a jerkoff and you will do just fine.  Obviously you don't haul dictionarys or thesauruses either in yuor travels do ya???  Like the wise and almighty KSP said, next time go complain on a different site because most of us don't care if you like us or not.  Hell now I am going to find a trucker to take my frustration out on and they have you to thank for it!!!!!!

I feel for your loss, Becky. Nobody wants to take responsibility for their actions anymore. Both the driver, his estate and the company hiring the driver should have some responsibility of any accident whether death or not has occurred. The driver should bear the greater brundt of the cause and the company should have instituted checks and balances to spot check drivers they hired whether they be company based or independent drivers. Again my prayers will be with you and your family for your loss of your brother.
