What arts have you studied, and what ranks do you hold?

I took Pai Lum Kung Fu for about a year.  I also took Chinese Kempo.  I was about to go for my green belt when the studios in my area closed.

Go gu ru, Kickboxing

I ended up spending 12 years in kickboxing but had to quit fighting when I got on to KSP. Messing with Crav Magaw now.

I did Marine Corps Martial Arts when I was in the military. They had just started the program before I got out and I was a grey belt. I just recently got back into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Gracie Barra. I'm currently a two stripe white belt working on my third.

I'm new to martial arts and currently train in Krav Maga.  Technically, Krav is not a "martial art" in that it lacks many of the characteristics of a martial art (adherance to a philosophy, respect and devotion to a master, etc).  I would like to look at taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at some point to improve my ground game and for the various joint locks, but am quite happy with Krav for now.

I presently study Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate and hold the rank of 1st Kyu.  I will be testing for my Shodan in June of next year.  I also studied Small Circle Jujitsu (5th Kyu) and learned enough Judo, Arnis and Aikijujitsu to hurt myself.

Prior to entering the State Police I studied Jeet Kune Do and received my red belt. I also studied Muay Thai for a couple of years. I currently have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a "Cops only" grappling club. Last year I became a certified Gracie "Grapple" instructor.

Although I have little formal training, I do have a nice long list of martial arts I have studied. Most of them I dont use I studied them for the defensive perspective. I've been doing martial arts since I was 6 years old, I 'am now 38. Most recently I am an instructor in CDT for Victim Protection inc. CDT was developed from PPCT because civillian that were using PPCT were still getting sued (and losing) so we are developing a slightly more passive version, relying on quick defensive tactics for an escape route and/or hold for police arrival.

I've been in the Martial Arts most my life. I hold Black Belts in Kempo and American Jujitsu. Also, I am a certified PMAB Instructor(Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (used in hospitals and corrections settings)),ASP Expandable baton instructor, Kubaton Instructor, Women's Self-defense/Safety Awareness instructor and a former Chief Instructor of my own dojo. I am soon to be a certified CQC and PPCT instructor. I hold ranks in Tae Kwon Do, Sambo, Muay Thai, and Tracy's Kempo, and I've spent the last few years dedicated to Catch wrestling, boxing and Kick Boxing (western).

I did some aikido as a child, although I never had a real hold on it, I really enjoyed it. I also trained in TKD long enough to obtain a brown belt. My newest passion is Krav Maga, I have been training for a little over a year and I really enjoy it. I recently moved and I can't find a school anywhere around me. I guess my future passion will have to be MMA.......If I can find somehwhere to train.

I'm a Nidan in Jujitsu, not Brazilian, just straight self defense Jujitsu.  I only got to yellow or orange in Kenpo decades ago, as I spent most of my time getting knocked flat on my butt in that style.  I was just too small.  My husband still teaches after 50+ years.

I spent a year in Seoul, Korea as a student at an International School, we studied Tae Kwon Doe as part of our gym. I also started straight boxing when I was six, mostly with my father. In my early twenties I had a friend who was a second degree black belt equivalent in a form called Chi Dara, I think I spelled it right, I learned a lot from him as his sparring buddy, more like dummy, this form had a mix of Aikido,Hapkido, and jui jitsu.

I have been studying Martial Arts for almost 11 years. . I became a Second Degree Blackbelt in Kempo Karate & Kempo Ju Jutsu in 2004. Once I joined the military I moved away from my Dojo and had to continue studying on my own

The Marine Corps Martial Arts program is geared towards a combat situation and has alot of impractical moves for civlian life. I am working on trying to get my Blackbelt by the end of this deployment

I have a brown sash in wing-chun/hung-gar kung-fu, a black belt in kenpo karate, and a green belt in brazilian jiu-jitsu. I have also studied ninjitsu, escrima, kali, aikido, and jeet kune do.

I have been in martial arts all my life (since I was 8 years old) and the disciplines that I have trained in are Chinese Kenpo (3rd degree brown belt) Aikido (also 3rd degree brown belt), with about 4 years of training in Jeet Kun Do ( local school in downtown Denver NO BELTS).  I love the edge that I have on most situations Mentally and Physically, the confidence and the insight in any given situation is invaluable.  My family in the last 6 years also has been in martial arts and it is a great way for us to connect and work out together.

I haven't been able to study anything in quite a while. But back in the day I earned my brown sash in Kung Fu and when I was still with USAF I was scheduled to take my black belt test in Judo but first I went TDY then the instructor went TDY so I never got a chance to take the test.

I'm pretty disappointed with the schools available here in my area. Mostly just Tae Kwon Do and while I think that's a great art I want an art that's practical for LE work and last I checked I can't do a jumping spinning back kick with my gun belt on.  I'd really like to check into Krav Maga.  I've heard some good things about it.

Orange belt in Hap Ki Do.  And, by no means a "bad-ass."
