I suggest we use THIS topic ONLY for adding addresses so group members won't have to scroll through other messages. Remember, you can check this topic for a new messgae just by looking at the latest contributor on the right side. Hope this will make it easier. NOW-lets get some addresses in here please. | Posted 8 months ago Group Members, my son (who is also a PoliceLink member...Rangerboy6) just started Navy Boot Camp last week. I would greatly appreciate any cards and/or letters that members can send him. It is one thing to receive mail from family, you kinda expect it. But to receive mail from his fellow LEO's is a whole different level of encouragement. Also, please send him a friend invite on PolieLink as he would appreciate that as well. Just understand that it will be late March, probably, before he gets to accept it. Thank you to each and every one of you. His info is below: SR Gammon, Wiley A. DIV 007 USS John F Kennedy BLDG. 7116 Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL 60088-3405 |

| Posted 8 months ago Thank you to all those who have sent cards and letters to my son. I have only spoken to him once since he has been there and that was prior to posting his address here. His mom and I, as well as his grandparents, are all writing him notes or cards everyday. However, when I spoke to him, he had only received ONE letter. The rest must be backlogged in their mailroom. He gave me a new address that may help expedite the mail getting to him. I can only imagine his face when he gets all of the backlogged mail! Thank you again to all who have sent him mail and if you have time to send him more, please use the new address below. His graduation date from basic is 21 Nov. SR Gammon, Wiley A. | Posted 5 months ago To all the wonderful supporters of this forum, thank you and God Bless you. My son Caleb flew to Texas January 13 to begin basic training with the Air Force. I drove him to Raleigh to catch his flight. I must say , it was a very hard thing to watch him walk away from me only carrying what basic necessities the Air Force mandated he pack. His adult world beggining to start with a simple small travel bag. My baby boy stepped out of the vehicle, with tears in his eyes, his head held high, knowing this was the beginning of adulthood and a career path that he had chose. I am so proud of his decision and the goals he has set for himself. I will not lie, I cried while wishing him luck (no good-byes) ,cried on the way home and cried myself to sleep. I have not yet spoken with Caleb, so I have no inclination as to how he is adjusting. I am so so so so patiently waiting to hear his voice. Ooops I lied about patiently waiting. I am on pins and needles, wanting to talk to him, needing to know he is alright and that his decision was a good decision. My heart feels so empty now.......... it is hard letting your children go. So guys and gals, I might be sending some blubbering messages for reassurance, and when my heart grows too heavy with the loneliness hearing stories of how your loved ones are doing will certainly perk me up. I cannot wait to give the first update on him when he calls. I do have his address. Envelope needs to be addressed as written. I know my son would enjoy receiving letters, cards while he is in basic training. **If cards are sen't, please none that play music or have any audio to it. Those receiving any such cards will be made to sing or hum the song from the card through out the day. **** AB Williams Caleb E Once again thank you and God Bless each and everyone of you for having such caring hearts.
