I hope you are this happy when your taxes skyrocket as this clown has already promised, or maybe you do not know that when the Bush Tax cuts are repealed, in essence your taxes are raised to pre cut rates. Maybe he will redistribute the wealth starting with your money. |

| Posted 2 months ago First and for most, I would like to Congratulate Obama for being the first africian american president. I did not vote for him, I do not agree with his views. However, he will have no choice but to do a good job, cause the american people are watching him. And if he does a bad job, then it will be hard for another africian americian to win president again. I heard his speech, and I can only pray that he will not lead this country down a dark path, expecially since his own girls will have much to lose also.... Now the democrats will have nobody else to blame but themselves... Life is full of surprises |

| Posted 2 months ago The liberal media has just proved President Eisenhower was right. He said, "Only Americans can destroy America." | Posted 2 months ago Well we all have to thank all the people who voted for him on the sole fact that he is (half) African American. This is indeed a historic thing, but that is the main reason a lot of people voted for him. Not just my opinion either. I wish us all luck in the upcoming adventure. Unfortunately I think we will need it. Motorcops Even Scare Other Cops! |

| Posted 2 months ago First off, congratulations to Pres. Elect Obama for the win. Second, I noticed that every 18-25 year old I noticed voting said they did so for Obama. Maybe we need to raise the age of voting...lol. Gentleman what has been done is done and ther is nothing we can say or do to change the situation. Just pray for our country and that Obama does the right thing for ALL not just some. Just wait, in two years there will be another major election and once again the GOP will end up running the Legislature again. At that point things will start to get better, hopefully. |

| Posted 2 months ago Obama won the election by a process a lot of us do not always appreciate. Why can't this record turnout of voters be the norm insted of the exceotion? We were given this Right and Privlige many years ago, we should exercise it yearly in every election big or small. We have a three tier structured goverment, the Checks and Balance System, that did not change yester and will not chage in the future! Obama, was elected to the OFFICE of The President of the United State, he was not put in place as King, Ogar, or Czar. He is going to be the Leadrer of th FREE World in January 2009 and for the next 4 years. I did not support his election with my vote, but I do support the Office of President, it is not going to change, 232 years of American Freedom. He has been Elected Commander in Chief, let us se if he can stand and deliver on his promises, we still have 2012 to look to and replace him, in 2012 we will be a Free Nation for 236 years, no doubt about it. | Posted 2 months ago First, AZTHUMPER, I for one would not hold Obama's administration against any subsequent African American candidate, and I hope nobody else would either. My issues with him have nothing to do with his race, except for his sepratist associations. Secondly, Tetrault08, you say you will counter taxes by using your 401(k). Are you aware Obama wants to governmentize those as well? http://www.usnews.com/blogs/capital-commerce/2008/10/23/would-obama... Lastly, JohnBeckett, I had the pleasure of voting with my 18 year old son yesterday. He voted red down the line.

| Posted 2 months ago Whether we like it or not HE won! We have no choice now but to accept that fact. I made my chooice by voting for McCain/Palin, but evidently my choice was not the majority. As with any President, One man can not decide for all. That's why American has a three part goverment. HE is the President, but HE is not the EMPORER, KING, or DICTATOR. Now lets just hope that HE does not gain enough support from the senate and house to follow through with his plans. The American people still have a voice. Our Representatives and Senators have the responsibility to make our voice heard. These are my thoughts and I represent me and no one else. Walk softly and carry a BIG gun! |

| Posted 2 months ago Let's take a little stroll back through history....for those of us who have been around a while, this will be old news, but... After 16 years of Democrats, the American public decided that one term of Harry Truman was enough, and elected Dwight Eisenhower. After eight years of Republicans, the public chose John Kennedy over Richard Nixon, mostly on his appeal and charisma, and his promised for new age. Lydon Johnson followed, and was bogged down by the Viet Nam war, and the country turned to Richard Nixon. Although Nixon was blamed by many for Viet Nam, he was far from responsible from getting us involved there. After Noxon, and Watergate, the public again cried "Enough!", and ousted Gerald Ford, who had the unenviable task of taking over after Nixon resigned. This gave us Jimmy Carter..and long lines at the gas pumps, high gas prices, high mortgage costs, foreclosures (sound familiar?). Four years of Carter, a bad economy, and nearly no response to Iran holding US citizens hostage for over a year ended his one term when the country turned to Ronald Reagan. Were the two-term for President rule not in place, Reagan may have become like FDR, and continuing on for another term, however, his vice president, George Bush 41 was chosen. Bush 41 made one small error that the public would not forgive him for: he said "read my lips! No New Taxes! " Faced with the Gulf War, taxes were raised, and we then elected a Democrat, Bill Clinton. Clinton arguably had an easy term; he inherited a sound economy, we were not embroiled in any wars, life was good, but....there was Monica Lewinsky! Fallout from Monica-Gate and Al Gore (now there was a candidate: he hired a woman advisor to tell him how to dress as an alpha-male!) The result: George Bush 43....who's first term was a success, especially his response to 9-11. The second term? well, we have just seen the country's response: we elected the Democrat candidate, Barrack Obama. American voters really don't have much patience; we will blame the President for all that is wrong, whether it is their fault or not! Bush got the blame for high gas prices, but no credit when they fell from $4.00 to $2.00 per gallon... the economy is in a slump. Is it horrible, hell no! In the mid-1970's, gasoline went from around $.33 per gallon to $.80 per gallon nearly over night. We had gasoline rationing, in that you could only gas your car on certain days of the week. Home mortgages skyrocketed. In 1978, I built my first home, and got a break on my mortgage rate to 9%, because I worked for the bank. Within two years, mortgage rates were over 13%! What are they now, somewhere around 6.5%? The Rust Belt began, industry failed from Buffalo, NY to Detroit. Steel mills closed, and the Rust Belt was born. Unemployment was higher them that it is now. Where are we now? Barrack Obama was elected on the promise of change...he said that he will fix the economy, he will bring the troops home from Iraq, he will solve the mortgage crisis, he will create jobs, helth care for everyone, he will take for the rich and give to the poor... Okay.... He definitely has his work cut out for him! I wish him well. He was not my choice for President, not by a long shot. He is, however, OUR President-elect. For the good of the country, I wish him well. He has a tough road ahead of him. He has made a lot of promises, and he had better keep them, especially with a Democrat majority in Congress... if not, the Amercian voter is likely to turn him out after one term, as they did Carter and Bush 41... we are not very forgiving when it comes to our Presidents! | Posted 2 months ago It's amazing to think that so many think that this one person is going to completely destroy our country. I watched his speech and genuinely felt that he truly loves the U.S.A. and he is not the Antichrist, prophecy shows this to be completely false. Terrorists will not be sitting in the White House. The 2nd amendment will be upheld. There are checks and balances for a reason. This one man cannot single handedly destroy 200 some odd years of building. Stop overreacting. I respect everyones opinion and please do not take anything i say personally. P.S. i voted for McCain |
