My favorite style is American Moo Duk Kwan mixed with Tae Kwon Do. I am a member of the American Moo Duk Kwan Association, and the styles we use there also include Soo Bahk Do, and Hap Ki Do.

I started with Tae Kwon Do. Later I started incorporating other techniques from outside TKD. Oh, yeah, spent a year taking judo in high school (long time ago).

Have been involved with the Korean styles since 1984. I have taken the Bruce Lee approach, I have taken what I have learned in formal training and thrown in some of the ground fighting stuff, and then you got what I refer to as the street cop arts....... Take what works from each form on the street and throw the rest away. In 22 Years I have never had to do a jumping turning roundhouse kick.... Joint locks, presure points, ect. Yes I use those all the time.

Little known ancient art of puk ku, it gets you close to the target for head butting while using loud profanity to strike fear in the heart of your attacker.

My son and daughter are both brown belts, and my wife a green belt, students of Tae Kwon Do at their Dojang here in New York. Their belt system is : white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, red, high red, brown, high brown, bo-dan, black. I myself studied the little known ancient art of Fuk Yu Guy. It involves tackling individuals, while spewing profanities, and mashing them into the ground until I can get the handcuffs on. More recently, I have started studying Grandmaster Pelligrini's style of Combat Hapkido and so far have earned my orange belt.

My style is Okinawan Goju-Ryu, under the lineage of Master Glen Keeney. My Sensei is Terry Gruel and my weapons instructor is Master Eddie Bethea who is under the lineage of Master Shugoro Nakazato (Shuri-Ryu). In class we have Self-defense , Final Options Tactics, and Gun Basics seminars as well as Knife flow drills. My dad gave me some pointers from the stuff he learned from Laos when he was in the Air Force and stationed there for a little while. My dad never mentioned a name or lineage, he just said he was amazed at little guys who could jump over cars.

Drunken Style

Drunken Kung-fu has many different origins. It appears as a subsystem in many other styles such as in Choy-lay-fut, Southern Shaolin kung-fu and even in Tai ch'i chuan. It does, however, have its own system know as Zuijuquan (Shu-ju-chuan). The rolling, unpredictable motion of a drunken man is used to deceive his opponent into thinking he is incapacitated by a drunken stupor. It has many different origins dating back to the Sung Dynasty (A.D. 960-1280) from eight drunken immortals to a drunken monk who defeats over thirty of his peers, then proceeded to rip off the monastery doors. Whichever of the many theories may be true, it can said that the drunken style was inspired by the weaving and bobbing motions of an intoxicated kung-fu practitioner.

LMAO pretty much, but if i had to call it anything i'd call it "t.v. fu". LOL, that's only cause that's pretty much where i learned it all from.

Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, it is far superior to other martial arts as it pretains to real world. As far as a belt system, you should never tell anyone your rank for legal reasons. A defense would have a field day with that on the stand..

I am just looking into it. It deals with alot of weapons disarming techniques that the isreali soldiers and police use everyday against terrorist and bad guys out there. I particularly like the disarming techniques, designed for use in real life situations. So far, I like it alot.
