Glock 27, 40cal sub compact

Posted 5 months ago For everyone that is using this pistol for backup or off duty carry, I'd like to hear your feedback on it. I've owned at least 14 different Glocks over the years, but never botherd with a sub compact model. So toss em on lads, good, bad, and ugly about this particular model. Everything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing at all. |

| Posted 5 months ago I too own the Glock 27, 40 cal. It is my off duty gun, but I can carry it on duty as a back-up if I wanted. I will never part from it. It is a great gun. Highly recommended! |

| Posted 5 months ago The .40 is a snappy round as far as recoil goes. Does anyone have any problems with that in this small of a grip? Everything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing at all. |

| Posted 5 months ago I carry the Glock 23, and it's okay, not my favorit gun. |

| Posted 5 months ago catm2005 said: I use a Pearce extender on my mags. It doesn't give me a +1, but it is smaller than the +1 floor plates and gives me a heck of a lot more control. I actually shoot better with my 27 than I do with my 22, but then again my 22 is a an early manufacture (2nd gen?) with no finger grooves. But more to the point of your post, I love mine and the only thing I MIGHT trade it for is a model 30 or 36, just because a 45 is a 45. Go out today and preach the gospel, and if you must, use words. | Posted 5 months ago I used a Glock 27 when I was on duty. I wore mine under my left arm in a vest holster. I added a string to the zipper on my shirt to help grab it. I fought, ran and never had a problem with it. Not a big fan of ankle holsters because "Joe Shit The Ragman" figures its going to be there. It takes practice to keep it in the shirt but no one knows were it is and if you put the time in its well worth it. |

| Posted 5 months ago Buy a subcompact 1911! Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil. |

| Posted 5 months ago I have the H&K P2000SK 40 cal, I love it. I have shot the Glock 27 and it was a nice weapon. Prefer my H&K, however I do have small hands |

| Posted 5 months ago The Glock 27 subcompact is by far the most reliable back up weapon I've carried. An added plus when the Glock 22 is carried as your primary weapon, as the magazines are compatable |

| Posted 5 months ago catm2005 said: I really don't think you'll be sorry. Glocks are great guns, but I have to admit my Sig 220 has a better feel. Then again I'm prejudiced. The only 2 guns that really feel great in my hand are the Sig and a 1911 with a straight backstrap. Just my personal preference. Go out today and preach the gospel, and if you must, use words. | Posted 5 months ago I had a G27 for several years, and I loved it. I sold it to a friend who bought it for his son, and I got a G26. Great gun, I'd recommend it to any Glock lover. |

| Posted 5 months ago I have a G26 in 9mm. I like the .40 but I carry a 9mm for work so I figured what the heck and stayed with the 9. I have two 10 round mags (one in the gun and another ready) and still don't even notice they are with me. I carry a Sig 229 for work and it just seems so much biger and heavier. I carry two thirteen round mags with me for work and it seems so much heavier. I also like the Glock better because I shoot it better. It just "feels" better in my hand. And if it feels good in the hand...well, I will leave it there. :-) --B |

| Posted 5 months ago I would have thought by now I should have bought at least two of the sub compacts... they just never were a priority. But now since I havent had one yet just full and mid sizes; reckon I oughta pick one up Everything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing at all. |

| Posted 2 months ago I carry a G27 off duty. It's very nice, but having shot it in IDPA I have found that my split times and overall time go down noticeably when I shoot the G19, G26 or G23. If I had it to do over again, I would go with the G26. With modern HP designs and the somewhat heavier grain +P loads in 9mm, I don't believe there is any significant difference in terminal effectiveness between the .40 and 9mm. However, I know my shot placement will be better/faster with the 9mm. I carry my G27 in a Kramer horsehide IWB3, and it hides very well. |

| Posted 2 months ago I love my Glock 27. I use it for backup and off duty carry. What else is there to say besides, "it's a Glock." 2 Cor. 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new." |

| Posted 2 months ago I carry the G27 for off duty and as a back up. Never had my G27 jam. I like the size for concealment purposes and the amount of rounds it can hold. The G27 is not bad at all, I would recommend it. Just make sure if you carry off-duty that you dont get the Uncle Mikes Kydex paddle holster, I have one and it is too bulky for concealment. |
