Posted 9 months ago I was wondering who has scars from hunting or fishing. I have one that is pretty common. I was hunting one time sitting in my deer stand. I crawled down out of it when I saw a doe about 100 yards away. I didn't have a good shop from the stand so once I got out of the stand I placed my 270 on a good branch that was coming off of a tree that had fell down. I put the deer in my cross hairs and shot. The limb broke and the scope popped me right between the eyes. I had so much blood coming from my head I could not even tell if I got the deer or not. I radioed for my wife to meet me at the stand. Once she got there all I could worry about was the deer and if I got it. Once she told me that it was down then I tended to myself. Man I had to walk around this town that had hundreds of hunters in it for the weekend with a big ol bandaid on my forehead and nose. I know that everyone was staring but you know what I didnt care because I had the deer. |

| Posted 9 months ago I was a mate on a charter boat out of Daytona Beach (Safety Harbor) during the summer months when I was a teen. One day we got into the Kings (King Mackeral) pretty hot. A customer hung one that weighed about 50 lbs and bought it to the boat. As I reached out with the short gaff the dang thing jumped right into the boat and latched onto my hand. Well it cut me pretty good and I still carry the scars from that on my right hand. Needless to say the mackeral got a good wacking with the short bat. |

| Posted 9 months ago Good one, Jim .... I did an authentic laughing out loud. "We should remember that one man is much the same as another, and he is Best, who is trained in the severest school." Thucydides, History of the Peloponnesian War "Victory is reserved for those who are willing to pay the price."

| Posted 9 months ago I cut my finger with my limbsaw while cutting a tree limb that was not allowing me to climb as high as I wished. I hope that my case might help others so that unnecessary tragedies like this can be avoided. |
